Perfect time to take off
The perfect timing to do the Hampta Pass Trek is from June to October. The weather is pretty welcoming and pleasant. You would need not much attention to choosing the warmest clothes because the temperature stays between 12-20 degrees. Temperatures here fall below freezing point during other months and unpredictable weather conditions would make your trail difficult. So, plan wisely mate!
The Hampta Pass Trek is between the Manali and Spiti Valley and its hair-raising adventure surprise from start to end. Jobra at an elevation of 9800 feet is the base camp for Hampta Pass trekking. At 10400 feet, we have Chika and that’s a wonderful start for this journey.

Sia Goru to Chatru is completely downhill and this final lap takes 5 hours to complete. At an altitude of 11,000 ft, Chatru is all about sterile rock mountains and lesser vegetation. The campsite, if you can figure out, nestles in the middle of Hampta Pass, Rohtang Pass, and Spiti region.
