Once you have selected the supplier, the next step is to go to the terms option. There too, you will have to click on the drop-down arrow and see the terms of the bill. You will see the details on the bill sent by the supplier.
The next step is to select the type of bill that you want to enter. For this, you need to go to the category details option. Then, go to the drop-down menu and select the category of expenses. You should check whether the payment is to be made for any expense incurred for business purposes such as service, rent, and utilities or any item bought or sold by the company.
After you are done with filling in the relevant details of the bill, you can also enter a small description to remember about any special terms. Also, remember to add the tax amount that you have to pay in addition to the bill amount. Now, you can click on save and close. The bill will be entered in QuickBooks Desktop.
If you have to enter a bill for a specific customer and the expense made, you can click on the Billable checkbox. After this, you have to enter the name of the customer. Then click on save and close. The bill will be entered in QuickBooks Desktop.
